Case Study : GFRP in Desalination

06/11/2016

The Phase II TUAS seawater desalination project in Singapore, the largest water treatment project being built in Asia, is using 4,860 membrane housing pressure vessels for this purpose. These vessels are highly susceptible to corrosion. Therefore Advantex® fiberglass reinforcement materials are being used as key components used in producing these pressure vessels.

Advantex® fiberglass reinforcement materials offer outstanding performance and durability, including excellent corrosion resistance in the harsh acidic experimental conditions and superior corrosion resistance. Therefore they are ready to effectively manage the challenging conditions in fiberglass pressure vessels.

Here is the case study that shows why Advantex® fibreglass reinforcement is a preferred material to be used in membrane housing vessels in such condition
